Brief introduction of gate valve processing technology

Cast steel gate valve is a traditional product with a wide range of applications. The reason why this old-fashioned structure product is still in use today is because its sealing surface structure with a wedge angle of 5° is relatively reliable, so the traditional processing method generally only pays attention to the wedge angle of 5°. In terms of the accuracy of angular fit, little attention is paid to the degree of fit of the sealing surface and the repeatability of positioning accuracy.

In terms of the accuracy of angular fit, little attention is paid to the degree of fit of the sealing surface and the repeatability of positioning accuracy. The new generation of cast steel gate valve products launched by the company are completely in accordance with the new design concept and advanced technological means to form high-performance and high-quality cast steel gate valve products with their own characteristics. Its key typical processes all use CNC special machine tools, and the new product design has reached the triple identity of design benchmark, processing technology benchmark and assembly positioning benchmark. And the exchange rate of parts is 100%, and the matching degree of the sealing surface is as high as 95% or more (see attached drawing 1).

In the product structure, the gate adopts a steel structure instead of an elastic gate structure. This is mainly due to the use of high-precision CNC special machine tools and a new processing technology program. Firstly, the "T" groove on the top of the gate plate is sequentially processed on the seven-axis linkage three-station special machine tool of the CNC DTK system, and the surfaces of the "T" groove and the upper positioning reference plane are sequentially processed. The rail grooves on both sides are processed on the CNC DTK system three-axis linkage special machine tool (see attached drawing 2). The sealing surface of the ram is processed on the special machine tool for the outer inclined surface of the ram with the three-axis linkage of the DTK numerical control system. The machine adopts high-precision servo motor, rolling linear guide rail, ball screw, repeat positioning accuracy: straight line 5um; rotation accuracy: ±0.5〞, processing dimension accuracy up to 7 grades, shape and position tolerance accuracy up to 4 grades (see attached picture 1).

 The processing of the valve body first processes the positioning datum of the upper plane based on the guide rail. The machining of the sealing ring holes on both sides is based on the upper plane as the positioning reference, and is processed on the special machine tool for the three-axis linkage inner inclined sealing ring hole of the DTK numerical control system (see attached drawing 3). This machine also adopts high-precision servo motor, rolling linear guide rail, ball screw, repeat positioning accuracy and processing size accuracy are the same as the special machine tool for three-axis linkage gate outer slope of DTK CNC system. Due to the adoption of the above CNC special machine tool and the same process positioning reference, the positioning accuracy of the switch opening and closing of the gate plate and the sealing surface of the valve body is ensured, thereby greatly improving the sealing performance and service life of the product. So that this traditional old product has gained a new and broader development space.
