Globe valve maintenance

Knowledge about globe valves

A globe valve is a valve in which the closing member (disc) moves along the centerline of the valve seat. According to the movement of the valve disc, the change of the port of the valve seat is proportional to the travel of the valve disc. Due to the relatively short opening and closing stroke of the valve stem, the cut-off function is very reliable, and because the change of the seat port is proportional to the stroke of the valve disc, it is very suitable for flow regulation.
